Talent Management and Succession Planning

Managing talent is the most critical people issue facing HR departments worldwide, according to a new global study of HR leaders. The report, 'Creating People Advantages: how to address HR challenges worldwide through 2015' found that talent management was at the top of executive agendas in almost all of the 83 countries surveyed. Surprisingly a recent CIPD learning and development survey found that 74% of respondents reported that their organisation didn’t have a well-developed plan for talent management.

Talent management has become a key strategic issue, with the recruitment, development and retention and deployment of talent increasingly being seen as critical success factors in the search for organisational objectives such as competitive advantage.
