Programme and Project Sponsorship (PPS) Qualification

The Programme and Project Sponsorship qualification (PPS) certifies that a senior manager is equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the skills required to lead successful delivery of a policy or strategy; or to lead an initiative or deliver to a target.

The qualification has been specifically designed for senior managers that sponsor programmes and projects; this includes Senior Responsible Owners (SRO's) that have been made accountable as individuals for a specific programme or project.

It addresses the key questions of:

• "What should the Sponsor be doing?"
• "What is an appropriate level of involvement for the Sponsor?"
• "What should others be doing for the Sponsor?"

The objective testing examination (OTE) format is:

• Closed book
• 90 minutes duration
• 65% required to pass (65 marks from a maximum of 100)
