MSP is an internationally recognised best practice programme management method, that can be tailored to suit any type of working culture and any size or type of programme.
MSP provides a structured framework for defining and managing complex change, particularly where there is a vision of an end state but the path to the solution is not yet clear.
Adoption of MSP is accelerating across both public and private sectors because it leads to more effective results focused on the management of change.
This course is an in-depth study of the method and includes the highly valued Foundation and Practitioner exams. (Please note that to progress to the Practitioner examination you must have scored at least 60% on the Foundation exam).
The course is suitable for programme managers and senior project managers who are seeking a recognised framework and qualification. Given the demands of this course it is not recommended for project managers with either little or no practical experience of managing programmes.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Define strategic roadmaps.
- Manage uncertainty with confidence.
- Manage conflicting expectations.
- Effect control without bureaucracy.
- Manage complex change.
- Define the right projects.
- Master the MSP method.
- Sit the MSP Foundation and Practitioner exams.
Our advice is to do as much pre-work as possible (between 5 and 8 hours of study time), to give you the best chance of success.
This is an intensive course and delegates are recommended to complete the pre-course reading, including the MSP manual. You will also have approximately two hours homework per night during the course.
